Safety

To provide maximum traction and stability on all roads, All-Wheel Drive is standard on the Range Rover Evoque. But it costs extra on the Nautilus.

Both the Range Rover Evoque and the Nautilus have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, driver knee airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, rearview cameras, rear cross-path warning, driver alert monitors and available around view monitors.

Warranty

The Range Rover Evoque’s corrosion warranty is 1 year longer than the Nautilus’ (6 vs. 5 years).

Reliability

J.D. Power and Associates’ 2023 Initial Quality Study of new car owners surveyed provide the statistics that show that Land Rover vehicles are better in initial quality than Lincoln vehicles. With 5 fewer problems per 100 vehicles, JD Power ranks Land Rover higher than Lincoln.

Fuel Economy and Range

Regenerative brakes improve the Range Rover Evoque’s fuel efficiency by converting inertia back into energy instead of wasting it. The Nautilus doesn’t offer a regenerative braking system.

Transmission

A nine-speed automatic is standard on the Land Rover Range Rover Evoque, for better acceleration and lower engine speed on the highway. Only an eight-speed automatic is available for the Nautilus.

Suspension and Handling

For greater off-road capability the Range Rover Evoque has a greater minimum ground clearance than the Nautilus (8.3 vs. 7.9 inches), allowing the Range Rover Evoque to travel over rougher terrain without being stopped or damaged.

Chassis

The Land Rover Range Rover Evoque may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 400 to 600 pounds less than the Lincoln Nautilus.

The Range Rover Evoque is 1 foot, 9.1 inches shorter than the Nautilus, making the Range Rover Evoque easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.

Towing

The Range Rover Evoque’s standard towing capacity is much higher than the Nautilus’ (3968 vs. 0 pounds).

Standard Trailer Stability Assist (TSA) on the Range Rover Evoque uses the Dynamic Stability Control sensors to detect trailer sway, then uses individual brakes to counteract any swaying and help keep the tow vehicle and trailer steady. The Nautilus doesn’t offer electronic trailer sway control.

Ergonomics

Unlike the driver-only memory system in the Nautilus, the Range Rover Evoque has standard driver and passenger memory, so that when drivers switch, the memory setting adjusts the driver’s seat, steering wheel position and outside mirror angle and the front passenger seat also adjusts to the new passenger’s preset preferences.

The Range Rover Evoque offers an optional heads-up display that projects speed and navigation instruction readouts in front of the driver’s line of sight, allowing drivers to view information without diverting their eyes from the road. The Nautilus doesn’t offer a heads-up display.

Heated windshield washer nozzles are optional on the Range Rover Evoque to prevent washer fluid and nozzles from freezing and help continue to keep the windshield clear in sub-freezing temperatures. The Nautilus doesn’t offer heated windshield washer nozzles.

In poor weather, headlights can lose their effectiveness as grime builds up on their lenses. This can reduce visibility without the driver realizing. The Range Rover Evoque offers available headlight washers to keep headlight output high. The Nautilus doesn’t offer headlight washers.

The Range Rover Evoque’s standard rear and side view mirrors have an automatic dimming feature. These mirrors can be set to automatically darken quickly when headlights shine on them, keeping following vehicles from blinding or distracting the driver. The Nautilus has an automatic rear view mirror, but its side mirrors don’t dim.
